Run a league for your mates and let us do the scoring. Any member, including free accounts, can now create a competition from the Member Comps tab on the leaderboards: name it, limit it to courses, race types or dates if you like, then choose how picks work. Use the main NAP Competition picks so your players have nothing extra to do, set an own picks format with your stakes, price caps and deadlines, or run a meeting points game where every race counts. We settle every pick at the official prices, write your rules out in full so there is one version of the truth, keep a day-by-day leaderboard with a My picks view, and email the owner a nightly update worth posting in the group chat. Ch1 and Hu1: first time over fences or hurdles

Nothing on a racecard used to tell you a horse was having its first ever chase. Now a teal Ch1 pill beside the name marks a first chase and Hu1 a first hurdle, counting runs under Rules in Britain and Ireland only, so a French import's first run here is flagged too. Hover the pill for the trainer's record with those debutants, and the current month leads, because some yards aim them at a particular time of year: the day we built it, one yard's October chase debutants stood at 27 winners from 91 at +66% ROI. Records under 15 runs are greyed rather than hidden, and ProStats gains a Race Type Debut filter beside the Debutant one. Premium and Professional members.

Joint licences: the whole yard's record

When a training licence passes to a partnership, the records start again from zero on paper, but the yard is the same one. We now link around 40 joint licences to the stable they carry on from, so the Ch1 and Hu1 hover shows the yard before the partnership, the partnership itself, and the two combined, with the dates the licence changed hands. A partnership whose own chase debut record looks thin can be sitting on a decade of evidence, and now you see all of it in one card. Premium and Professional members.

Daily NAP prize: a Friday win now covers the weekend

The daily prize in the free NAP competition puts the next day's Premium ratings in the top scorer's hands. A Thursday win has always covered Friday and Saturday, and now a Friday win covers Saturday and Sunday, so the best picks of the week unlock the biggest racing days. The dashboard NAP card now spells out the daily, weekly and monthly prizes too, so you can see exactly what a good day's picks are playing for. Free to enter, open to everyone, no X account needed.

Find anyone on the leaderboards

From a member's suggestion: a Find box on every leaderboard. Type a username, display name or X handle and the board jumps straight to that member's page, highlights their row and tells you their position, on any board and any period from daily to all time. No more paging through thousands of entries to find yourself, a friend or a rival. Premium and Professional members.

Racecards now show the ratings first

On a slow connection the racecard used to be a waiting game: nothing drew until the whole app had loaded. Now the part you came for loads first, each horse with its RTR Score, RTR Rank, Value Odds and Win Odds, while the rest of the card fills in behind it. On our throttled 3G test the first ratings went from 25 seconds to about 7, and the full card got faster too. On a fast connection you will barely notice, at the races on one bar of signal you will. ProStats: the LTO XSP Rank filter

A new data filter for a simple question: where did the market put this horse last time out? LTO XSP Rank is the horse's rank in the Exchange SP market in its previous race, 1 for the favourite, so a 1 to 3 setting isolates horses that were near the front of the market last time, whatever happened in the race. It slots in beside LTO Position in every ProStats query and your saved systems, and it is stamped across the full results database back to 2023. Professional members.

Worth Knowing: the facts our tools noticed

A new section under each race lists what our tools noticed before you look at a price: unusual rating margins, long layoffs, beaten favourites last time, first-time headgear or gelding, big class moves, 3lb or more off a claimer's back. Facts, not tips, each with its category, and clicking one picks that horse out of the card. Professional members see their own saved systems' qualifiers in the list too. Switch it on in Tools. The Form Strength view: is the form working out?

A new racecard view scores each horse's last 5 races by how they have worked out since, not counting the horse itself: the share of the other runners' runs since that won or placed, and how far the handicapper has moved them. Each run shows position, win and place rates and the ORC shift, with a single Form Strength figure to sort by, and clicking any run opens that race. The horse-history homework, done for the whole field at once. Premium and Professional members.

My Systems: your angles, on the racecard

Your saved ProStats systems now live on the card itself. The My Systems view adds a column per system, ticking every runner in the race that qualifies, with each system's record and an Open in ProStats jump beside it. Click a system's name and its qualifiers pick themselves out of the field. Build the angle once in ProStats, then let every racecard tell you when it fires. Professional members.

Racecard Views: flip the whole card in one click

A new VIEW strip sits above every race: keep the Ratings view you know, or flip the entire field to Odds Movement or Weight (Premium), Price Record (Pro), and now Form Strength and My Systems too. Each view lays out for every runner what the hovers used to show one horse at a time, on one screen with no extra clicks. Free members see the strip with the tier of each view marked, so everyone knows what is there.

International Ratings: the big meetings abroad, rated

Our ratings now travel. The new International page carries full RTR ratings for the big foreign meetings, the same racecard, scores, ranks and heat colours you know, with live exchange odds and results as they are weighed in. It opened with Longchamp's Arc weekend, and the biggest international fixtures will follow through the season. Deliberately display-only: international runs never leak into the GB and Ireland stats you rely on, and they join a horse's history once the results are settled. Professional members.

The Price Record column: has it won at this price before?

From a member's email: a per-horse record by starting price band, so you can see at a glance how a horse has fared at prices like today's. The opt-in Price Record column shows its wins and runs in today's band, bold when it has won there, and the hover opens the full table, every band from odds-on to 50/1 plus, with turf, all-weather and jumps kept strictly separate. It is a profile of the horse, not a system: context for the price in front of you, drawn from its whole career. Tick it on in Select Columns. Professional members.

Hover the name, see last year's run

On races that ran last year, hovering a returning horse's name now opens its run in that renewal: the weight it carried, its RTR Rank, the mark it ran off and the mark today, draw, finishing position, distance beaten or won by, SP, going and jockey, with SAME pills wherever today's conditions match last year's. The Wgt column keeps the weight-carried card, so both hovers earn their place. Premium and Professional members.

Post Results, in your own words

A member was saving his NAP results card and posting it to X by hand, just so he could add his own message above it. Fixed: the Post Results button now opens a box where you write your own text before the card goes out, with the results image attached exactly as before. Your day, your words. Last year's field, painted on this year's card

For the big annual races, knowing who ran in last year's renewal is half the homework. Now the card does it for you: a gold, silver or bronze filled cell marks last year's 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and a plum name marks every other horse from last year's field, fallers and pulled up included. 4 separate Tools switches control each layer, and the Last Year's Winner section beneath the race now lists last year's full field with placings. The colours make their debut on the Irish Cesarewitch card, with the season's other big handicaps to follow. Professional members.

ProStats systems that open from a link

A link can now open ProStats with a ready-made system already applied: filters set, chips showing exactly what is on, and the Today and Tomorrow counts telling you instantly whether anything qualifies. The first 3 presets are Quick turnaround (a jumps winner back out inside a week), the same narrowed to our Top Rated, and Last time out winner, Top Rated today. Non-runners: unmistakable at a glance

A non-runner's whole row now takes a strike through it on the racecard, so a scratched horse can never be misread as part of the field, however quickly you are scanning. A small thing, seen a hundred times a day. Every member.

ProStats: today's qualifiers, without the history

Sometimes you do not want a system's record, you just want to know who qualifies today. The new Qualifiers only chip on ProStats skips the back history entirely and lists today's and tomorrow's runners that match your filters, each priced at the live exchange price, with a link to its race. Build the angle once, then check it each morning in a second. One tip: tomorrow's markets are still forming, so price filters bite properly once the money arrives. Professional members.

Beaten Fav and jockey claims join your downloads

2 more racecard columns now flow through to the XLS and CSV downloads: Beaten Fav LTO, flagging every runner sent off favourite and beaten last time, and Claim (lbs), the apprentice's allowance as a plain number ready for your own weight sums. If you work your angles in a spreadsheet, both are now a column away, in every download from today's files on.

Every R figure now opens the race behind it

An R figure tells you how a horse ran; the race tells you why. Click any R1 to R10 figure and the race it was earned in opens in a new tab, full field, result and every rating as it stood. On a phone, a tap pins the Run Details card with a View Race button. Checking the form behind a figure used to mean a trip through the history pages; now it is one click. The Run Details hover: names, prizes, grades and medals

The card behind every R figure now opens with the race's own name and the winner's prize, so you know instantly whether that 98 came in a seller or a £50,000 handicap. The Class row names the actual grade, Group 2, Grade 1, Listed, a Handicap Band row grades every handicap at a glance, and a gold, silver or bronze medal marks a 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Weight beside the mark, on the card and in your downloads

From a member's email, answered the same day: the Wgt column now sits directly beside OR on the racecard, so the 2 halves of the handicapper's equation read together. Weight (lbs) joins the XLS and CSV downloads as a plain number, and Professional downloads gain a Last Handicap Win block, the mark, weight and date of each horse's most recent handicap win, ready for your own spreadsheet sums.

ProStats: show only the filters you use

The filter panels have grown past 70 filters, so now you can prune them. A Choose button on each panel lists every filter with a tick: untick the ones you never touch and they stay hidden, saved to your profile so the choice follows you across devices. Show all brings everything back in a click, new filters arrive ticked so you never miss one, and the panels got a slimmer, phone-friendly restyle at the same time. Professional members.

ProStats: the First Run Gelded filter

A first run after gelding is one of the form book's oldest fresh-start angles, and now it is a filter. Set First Run Gelded to Yes and the full history narrows to exactly those runs, ready to cross with trainer, course, distance or any other filter, and to save as a system that alerts you through Today's Qualifiers. Stamped across every run in the database overnight, so the figures rest on years of results from day 1. Professional members.

ProStats: 10 more ways to cut the form

A member emailed asking for filters ProStats lacked, and they were live the same day. Career Starts, Career Win SR and Career Place SR read a horse's whole career, here and abroad. Course Wins and C&D Wins count wins at today's track and trip. Pos 2 Runs Back and Pos 3 Runs Back reach past last time out. And 3 headgear filters, Headgear Today, Headgear LTO and Headgear Change, isolate first-time gear, gear coming off and every switch between. The same member's other gripe, typed filters not applying on an iPad, was fixed in the same build, and every filter is stamped across the full history. Professional members.

The handicapper's whole journey, on one graph

The Official Rating hover now draws the horse's mark over its last 20 runs on today's code: a stepped line from its first recorded mark to today's, wins picked out in green, with the high and the low labelled. One glance tells you whether a horse is climbing the weights, sliding back to a workable mark, or standing on a career low. Premium and Professional members.

The Help Centre now leads with what is new

The Help Centre front page now opens with the 16 most recently added and updated guides, each dated, above the topic browser. With features shipping most days, the guides move as fast as the product, and now that is visible the moment you arrive.

NagMe auto-delete, on your terms

The auto-delete control on your NagMes used to be a dropdown capped at 5 races. Now it takes any number from 1 to 100, blank means never, and there is a 2nd box to auto-delete after a number of wins, so a follow-until-it-wins NagMe finally tidies itself away. Whichever limit is reached first retires the horse from your list, and the same 2 boxes appear wherever you create, update or manage a NagMe. Every member.

Build Your Own Card: your kind of racing, only

Pick the races you care about and the whole day reshapes around them. Choose race type, handicap or not, maiden, novice or conditions, field size, class (with Class 1 split into Group races, Listed and Listed Handicaps), distance, going and win prize, even just the races in today's NAP Competition, and the course tabs, time strip, next and previous arrows, Next Race Off and the sidebar dropdowns all narrow to match. A meeting with nothing left drops out entirely. It is instant, a Your Card chip shows how many races made the cut, and clearing it or refreshing brings the whole day back. Your NAP entry slip now shows the RTR Rank

Premium and Professional members pay for the ratings, so you should never be picking your NAPs without them. The entry slip now carries each pick's RTR Rank right beside the horse's name, and the NAP Comp Most Selected card shows the rank of every popular pick too. Free members' slips stay as they were: the ranks are part of the ratings.

Entering your NAPs on a phone: 1 clear tap per horse

A member told us that picking a third horse on a phone could silently knock out their second: the NAP, NB and 3B options sat a few pixels apart in a narrow column. Fixed the same day it was reported. On phones and tablets the NAP column is now a single button, and your choice opens in a picker in the middle of the screen, sized for thumbs, so a pick can never quietly cost you another. Every member. And the verdict from the member who raised it, in by the evening: “Thanks for these changes!! They worked perfectly this evening in terms of tomorrow's picks.”

Yesterday joins the Races panel

The dashboard's Races panel now has Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow tabs, matching the Downloads panel beneath it. Flick to Yesterday and the race and meeting dropdowns, and the First Race button, all open yesterday's cards for your form study. The day labels across both panels are honest now too: yesterday's downloads say when results are still coming in, rather than promising figures the morning imports have not delivered yet. Going, by ground: line the form up on today's going

From a member's email: Good to Soft in Britain and Yielding in Ireland are the same ground under 2 names, and figures that match the going label exactly count them separately. So we built the going band. A new H GB SR column reads a horse's record on today's type of ground, firm, good or soft, with all-weather kept strictly apart from turf, and the R Filter gains a going toggle: switch it on and the R figures and the Form string rebuild from runs on ground like today's, so the figure you see was earned on the ground it faces. A cleaner leaderboard, racecard and ProStats

A tidy-up across 3 of the busiest pages. The leaderboard puts its period tabs on their own row with the page numbers under the table, the racecard folds the Guide into Tools and trims its buttons down to size, and ProStats gets wider columns and roomier filters. Every colour is exactly as it was: this was about space, size and clutter, not the look you know. Every member.

The pace forecast, in lengths, with a confidence level

The Pace & Draw section now prices the pace in the same currency as the draw: lengths. Every runner gets a pace figure from its own running style, a Draw + Pace total combines the 2, and the table sorts by either. And because no forecast should pretend to be surer than it is, the verdict now carries a High, Medium or Low confidence chip with plain English reasons, calibrated against tens of thousands of races, so you know when to lean on the map and when to tread carefully. HC1: handicap debuts, flagged and graded

A teal HC1 pill now marks any horse having its first ever run in a handicap on today's code, Flat or jumps. Hover it and you get the trainer's record with handicap debutants, measured against the same yard's other handicappers, plus the record at today's course. We tested a stack of candidate angles against years of results and this is the one that held up: some yards really are better at readying one for a first mark, and now you can see which. Horse history: who beat it, and what happened next

Every horse history page now tells you much more about each run. A new Beaten By / Beating column names the horse that beat it, or the ones it beat, each linked to its own history. Race Win SR and Race Place SR show how often the runners from that race have won or placed since, colour coded with the full runner by runner breakdown on hover. And ORC +/- totals how the handicapper has moved those runners' marks since, so you can see at a glance whether the form is working out. Each figure has an Excl Horse twin that leaves the page's own horse out of the sums, and Select Columns now saves a separate layout for history pages, so your racecard setup stays untouched. Last Time Out Winners: the day's form horses on one card

A new card at the bottom of Today Stats lists every runner today whose last run was a win, with where and when it won, the mark it won off and what the handicapper has done about it. Cut the list with one tap: Handicaps, Won at this course, Same jockey, Top Rated LTO or Within 30 days, add an odds range, or search by horse, jockey, trainer or course. Every horse links to its history, any view can be shared as a link, and flicking to Yesterday settles the card, showing how many of them won and the day's P/L. Professional members.

5 new ProStats data filters

ProStats can now cut its history of over 1.5 million runs 5 more ways. LTO Position finds horses by where they finished last time out. LR O/R filters on the last run odds ratio, the same figure as the racecard column. LWOR and OR v LWOR work against the last winning mark: enter a negative OR v LWOR range and you have every horse rated below the mark it last won off, without scrolling a single card, exactly as asked for by a member. And Debutant isolates first time out runners, made for finding the trainers who are good, and bad, with a newcomer. Not sure what LWOR or LTO Position stands for? Hover any filter label in ProStats, or press and hold it on your phone, and a card spells out in plain English exactly what the filter measures and when it is blank. All 65 filters are covered, and every new filter arrives with its explanation on day 1. Professional members.

Alternative Colours: the ratings, readable for everyone

A member told us the red to green shading on the ratings is hard to use when red and green look alike to you, which is true for roughly 1 in 12 men. So we built Alternative Colours: flick one switch in Tools and the whole racecard repaints in orange to teal, with every hover card restyled to match. Each step keeps the brightness of the colour it replaces, so the figures, ranks and everything else read exactly as before. The switch is first in the Tools menu on any racecard, saved on your device, and free to every visitor, because accessibility is never something we will tier.

Jockey, trainer and sire form over the last 50, 100 and 200 rides

A member asked for jockey P/L over the last 200 rides, so we went further. Hover any jockey, trainer or sire strike rate on the racecard and the Recent form section now shows their record over the last 50, 100 and 200 rides or runners, sitting alongside the 7, 14 and 28 day windows, each with strike rate, wins, A/E, P&L, ROI and PR. A hot fortnight tells you one thing; 200 rides tell you whether it is real. On every racecard hover, for every member.

Today's Filters: runners that fit your conditions

A new Today's Filters card on the Today Stats tab sifts the day's runners down to the ones racing under conditions they have already won under. Tick any mix of course, distance, going, direction, class, today's jockey or below its last winning mark, and only the horses that pass every tick remain, with presets for the common angles and chips showing exactly what is applied. Premium and Professional members.

The Anomaly Run Filter: strike out the freak run

Sometimes a horse runs a race that tells you nothing. Turn on the Anomaly Run Filter in Tools and every R figure becomes clickable: one click strikes the run out, greyed with a line through it, and AV10 and AV3 recalculate from the runs you kept; a second click puts it back. Hover a recalculated average and a new card says how many runs it rests on and how many you struck. Another member suggestion, built and live the same day it was asked for. Runner Search: find today's runners in one box

A new Runner Search card on Today Stats finds the day's runners by horse, jockey, trainer, owner or sire. Stack names to combine them, a jockey riding for a particular yard, or an owner across every meeting. Use With at least to pick out the owners, trainers or jockeys with 2 or more runners on the day, and share any search as a link. Professional members.

Selections: Back or Lay, at your price

Every selection can now be marked as a Back or a Lay, and settled at either the price when you picked it or the Betfair SP, per selection or flipped in one go with the master switches. My Selections gains a Back, Lay or All view and a Lay segment in the stats, so both sides of your book are tracked properly. Every member.

Your Selections dialog, sharpened

The Your Selections dialog now shows each pick's RTR Rank at a glance, adds a remove button on every row, and lays out the bet, odds and settle-at controls more cleanly. Every member, with the rank figures for Premium and above.

A fresh coat of navy

A polish pass across the app: every racecard hover now sits on the same navy card style, the dashboard Downloads panel has been rebuilt as tidy file cards, and the Free NAP Competition Details card wears the dark brand look. And the Arrange tool for Run Details now lets you switch individual rows off entirely, so the hover shows exactly what you want and nothing else.

The NAP Competition, now open to everyone

You no longer need an X account for any part of the free NAP Competition. Enter through the new 'Enter without X' option, and every prize, daily, weekly and monthly, is now open to every member: the locked and timestamped Today's NAP Entries page is the public record of the picks, so sharing on X is purely optional. If you have never entered, there has never been less standing in your way.

Today's NAP Entries, out in the open

A new Today's NAP Entries page, with its own card on the dashboard Competition tab, shows everyone's locked NAP, NB and 3rd Best for the day, with each entry's submission time and current position. Picks lock when they are made, and the page proves it. Every member.

Your NAP scores: day, week and month

The results slip now totals your day, with new tiles for your week and month scores alongside, and the same scores join the My NAPs table on the dashboard. So you can watch a run of form building without opening the leaderboards. Every member.

Your results, the moment you are back

Once your latest entered race day has finished, your slip pops up with the results the next time you visit, so you never have to go looking for how your picks got on. Shown once, then it stays out of your way. Every member who enters.

OR hover: the handicapper's latest move

Hover the OR column and you now see the handicapper's most recent change to the horse's mark: what it moved from and to, the run that earned it, and how many runs the horse has had since. Premium and Professional members.

Class, measured against the right run

A new Tools toggle makes the Class column compare today's class against the horse's last run of today's race type, rather than its last run of any kind, so a chaser's class move is judged against chases, not a spin over hurdles. Every member with the Class column.

Run Details: 6 more rows per run

The Run Details hover now shows each past run's field size, the weight carried, the jockey, the mark it ran off set against today's, its starting price and how the market moved, with the in-running high on winning runs. Premium and Professional members.

Arrange Run Details your way

A new Arrange option in the Tools dialog lets you drag the Run Details hover's cards and rows into whatever order suits how you read a race, remembered on your device. Every member with the hover.

LR O/R: how last time's race has worked out

The LR O/R hover now adds Race form since: the wins and places recorded since by the field the horse met last time out, so you can tell whether it was beaten in a strong race or a weak one. Premium and Professional members.

The stats hover, rebuilt around what you use

The trainer, jockey, horse and sire hover now leads with a hero card for the angle you are hovering, paints strike rates in the racecard's heat colours, and marks every A/E green above 1.00 and red below it. And a new Hover Stats Data tool lets you tick exactly which figures the hover shows, from strike rate to P&L to ROI, remembered on your device. Every member.

Non-Runners, live on Fast Results

Fast Results has a new Non-Runners tab listing the day's non-runners as the news breaks, grouped by race, each horse linked to its history page and stamped with the time it was announced. It refreshes itself every 90 seconds, so you can check the field before you play. Free for everyone.

The Run Details hover, rebuilt

Hover an R figure and Run Details is now 3 cards side by side: Race Context, Performance, and Ratings and Prices, with the run's date as a header pill. Each past run also shows its class and its direction now, and both light up when they match today's race, so the relevant form jumps out. Premium and Professional members.

Near matches, picked out in orange

A member pointed out that an exact match is not the only run that matters. So alongside the teal highlight for an exact course, distance or going match, the Run Details hover now paints near matches orange: a trip within 10% of today's, or going 1 step away on the same surface, with a tooltip explaining the band. Downloads now carry every racecard column

The daily CSV and the XLS Raw Races sheet now carry 33 more columns, including Win %, LR O/R, Beaten and the horse strike-rate blocks for field size, direction and class. Whatever you can read on the card, you can now work with in your own spreadsheet. Premium and Professional members.

Freeze the horse picker

A new toggle in the Tools dialog pins the picker columns, the Hide Horses ticks and the NAP column, so they stay put while you scroll across a wide racecard. Off by default and remembered on your device. Every member.

Flip WS, PS and WP from the toolbar

Another Tools toggle puts the Win Stats, Place Stats and Win-Place switch straight onto the racecard toolbar, so you can flip between the 3 stats views without opening the dialog. Off by default. Every member.

Win %: each horse's chance, as a number

A new Win % column turns our Value Odds into each horse's winning chance, and the field always adds up to 100, so you can see at a glance whether a race is one horse's to lose or wide open. It is off by default: switch it on from Select Columns and it sits beside RTR Rank and Score. Premium and Professional members, and free for everyone on the day's free race.

Downloads that match the race type

Every day now has a second download, the Race Type Version, in XLS and CSV. In it, each horse's R1 to R10 figures and its AV10 and AV3 averages are built only from runs of that race's own type, hurdle form for hurdles, flat form for the flat, with off-type runs dashed, exactly as the racecard's R Filter shows them. It sits beside the standard files in the dashboard Downloads panel and the racecard Tools dialog. Premium and Professional members.

ProStats: filter on Win % and the new strike rates

4 new data filters land in ProStats: Win %, and a horse's pre-race strike rate at today's field size, direction and class, the same figures the H FS SR, H DI SR and H CL SR columns show on the card. We have stamped them across the full history of 1.62 million runs, so a system built on them tests against everything we hold, not just recent racing. Professional members.

How your picks run next time out

Hover the LTO badge on your NAP, NB or 3rd Best and you now see how that pick type's horses have run next time out, split by whether the pick won or lost on the day, with the record and the profit and loss to level stakes at exchange SP. A pick that got beaten but keeps winning next time is telling you something. For everyone who plays the NAP Competition.

Apply ProStats systems back to back

Applying a system's qualifiers to your selections no longer pulls you off to the racecards: you stay on ProStats, so you can run several systems one after another. And every selection now carries an Added Via column naming the system that added it, so you always know which angle put a horse on your list. Professional members.

Weight carried, and how each horse handles it

A member asked us to show the weight a horse carries on the ratings. We went further. Every card now shows both the weight assigned and the weight actually carried once a jockey's claim comes off, and hovering the horse's name opens its full record by weight band: how it has fared at top weight, a few pounds below it, or well down the weights, with handicaps kept separate from races where the weight is simply allotted, so the figures mean what they appear to mean. One Runner Stats: A/E, Trend and Steady columns

One Runner Stats on the dashboard now shows three more columns for every trainer with a single runner and jockey with a single ride. A/E sets the winners against the winners the prices implied, so 1.00 is par and every run counts. Trend is a sparkline of the running P&L over the last five years, and Steady scores that line out of 100, so a record that has paid evenly ranks above one that hit a single 100/1 shot. H CL SR: a horse's record at today's class

A new H CL SR column on the ratings shows each horse's strike rate at today's race class. Hover it for the full picture, Class 1 to Class 7, with wins from runs, A/E and profit and loss for each, today's class highlighted, and a chip telling you whether the horse is stepping up, dropping down or staying put from its last run. Premium and Professional members.

Hover an R figure and the Run Details card now shows the Betfair in-running low for that previous run, where we collected it. So you can see how short a horse traded before it got beaten, and pick out the ones that looked the winner a furlong out. Premium and Professional members.

Pace & Draw: what the stalls are worth, now for Premium too

The Pace Map has become Pace & Draw, and it is now open to Premium members as well as Professional, and to everyone on the day's free first race. Every stall shows what the draw has been worth in lengths, worked out from our own beaten distances for that course, trip and field size and adjusted for today's going. A new Table view lists stall worth, RTR rank and score and each horse's early position, sortable by any of them, and the hover flags when a horse's usual run style from its stall is clearly for or against it, with the likely leaders' draws alongside.

Strongest Ratings: where our top-rated is clearest

A new Strongest Ratings card leads the Today Stats tab: the 5 races of the day where our top-rated horse is furthest clear of the second, with both scores, the gap between them, and the result and odds once the race is run. Switch between yesterday, today and tomorrow. Premium members and above.

Trainer switches, graded

A horse's first run for a new yard now carries an arrow beside the trainer switch marker grading the move: up for positive, flat for neutral, down for negative. Hover it and the card explains the verdict with the signals behind it, the strength of the new yard, the class of yard it has moved to and that yard's record with new arrivals, each marked for or against. On every unlocked racecard.

H DI SR: a horse's record going today's way round

A new H DI SR column shows each horse's strike rate running in today's direction. Every race is now classed left-handed, right-handed or straight, so a straight-course sprint no longer counts as a bend, and the hover gives wins from runs, A/E and profit and loss for each direction the horse has tried. Premium and Professional members.

The Pace Map: how the race is likely to be run

Premium and Professional members have a new Pace Map on the racecard. It plots every runner on a track strip by its typical running style, from front runner to held up, and weighs up how the race is likely to be run, with the course's record for front runners behind the verdict. A race with one lone front runner reads very differently from one with five, and now you can see it before the off.

Hover any horse on the Pace Map and each running style it has raced with now shows its record: wins, places and strike rate. So you can see which style has actually worked for the horse, not just how often it was tried, and judge what a change of tactics might mean. Professional members.

Easier downloads: Yesterday joins the tabs

The ratings downloads now have a Yesterday tab alongside Today and Tomorrow. Once the results and starting prices are in, yesterday's ratings download just like today's, so checking back over the previous day's card no longer means going through the archive.

ProStats cards on the racecard, improved

The ProStats stat cards under every racecard now carry each angle's profit and loss and its A/E alongside the record, the same measures we added to the ProStats tool earlier this month. A trainer's numbers on the card now tell you not just how often they win, but whether backing them has actually paid. Full figures for Professional members.

The Beaten Favourite hover, improved

The BF marker's hover now shows the trainer's profit and loss and A/E with beaten favourites next time out, on top of the record it already carried. So you can tell the yards whose beaten favourites are genuinely worth following from the ones that just run often. Every member sees it.

BF: last time's beaten favourites, flagged on the card

Any horse that went off favourite last time out and got beaten now carries a BF marker on the racecard. Hover it for the story of that run, its price and where it finished, and the trainer's record with beaten favourites next time out, so you can see who tends to turn a below-par favourite around. We have backfilled it across more than 48,000 past races, so it shows on our historical cards too. Every member sees it.

Filter the card, and the Form column follows

When you filter a racecard by race type, whether Flat, Hurdle, Chase, All-Weather or National Hunt Flat, each horse's form figures now rebuild from the same runs as the R rating columns. So the Form line and the R figures always tell the same story, whichever code you are looking at. Every member sees it.

NAP Competition: back each pick Win, Place or Each-Way

You can now choose how you back every pick in the free NAP Competition. Set your NAP, NB and 3rd Best to Win, Place or Each-Way, mix and match as you like, and your entry, your results and the leaderboard all score to the bet type you chose. Place and Each-Way need a field of at least 5 declared runners. Free to enter, open to everyone.

Liam's Trackers, now in the members area

Premium and Professional members can now follow Liam's own tracker inside the app. A new Liam's Trackers tab on your NagMe page and a widget on your dashboard show every horse he is watching: the race that caught his eye, how it has run since, any that are declared to run today or tomorrow, and his note on each. The racecard pencil is colour-coded too, so you can tell your own NagMe horses from the ones Liam is tracking at a glance.

ProStats: Impact Value, A/E and Months in Profit

Professional members have three new measures in ProStats. Impact Value (IV) shows how a group's win rate compares with the rest of your current selection, so the angles pulling their weight stand out. A/E weighs winners against what the market expected, a truer read of value than raw win counts. And Months in Profit (MIP) shows how many months an angle has finished in front, so you can tell a steady edge from one good month carrying the rest.

Hover any R figure on the ratings and the Run Details card now tells you more about that run: where the horse finished, how far it was beaten, and the official mark it ran off that day. Premium and Professional members.

A sharper headgear tooltip

The headgear tooltip has been rebuilt. Hover the headgear on a card and you now see how the trainer, jockey and sire have fared with that same headgear on, with the strong records picked out so a genuine angle stands apart from a weak one. Premium and Professional members.

The Last Winning Mark tooltip, in full

Hover the Last Winning Mark on a card and Professional members now get the full picture: the mark the horse last won off, the mark it is set to carry today and how the two compare, and the highest mark it has ever won off. So you can spot a horse dropped back to a winning mark, or one being asked to defy a career high.

LR O/R: last time's price against the field

Premium and Professional members have a new LR O/R column on the ratings: a horse's last-time-out starting price measured against the number of runners it faced, so a price is read in the context of the field it came from. A low figure means the horse was well fancied last time, and our 0.01 to 1.20 band is highlighted so the well-backed runners jump off the card.

Winning times, measured against our own standard

Every race card now shows the winner's time and how it compares to standard, and the standard is one we have built ourselves from twelve years of racing: track by track, trip by trip, and adjusted for the day's going. The ready-made standards are so soft that half the field beats them, so ours is set where a genuinely good time should sit, which means a plus or minus figure actually tells you something. Free for every member to see.

How far beaten, on every result

Race cards now carry a Beaten column showing exactly how far each horse finished behind, in clean decimals, with the familiar short-margin calls kept where racing has a word for them: nose, short head, head and neck. Every member sees it.

Jockey claims now on the cards

The claim an apprentice or conditional jockey is taking now appears in brackets after their name on the race cards, for example 'A Lewis (5)', so you can see at a glance who is getting weight off. Every member sees it.

CSV downloads keep your column order

When you download a day's ratings as a CSV, the columns now come out in the order you arranged them on screen, so your spreadsheet matches the view you built rather than resetting to the default layout. For Premium and Professional members.

The Horse Database: a new Horses tab

Professional members have a new Horses tab alongside ProStats: a searchable database of every horse and the mark it holds right now. One row per horse shows its current Flat, All-Weather, Hurdle and Chase ratings, its age, sex, trainer and sire, when it last ran and the mark it carried that day, with a link straight to that race. It is the view ProStats cannot give you: the impressive first-time winner rated 112 who has not run since shows up here, where a race-by-race history would never surface him. Filter by rating, distance, age and more, and every search is a link you can share.

Horse History showing the latest handicap move

A horse's history page now shows its latest handicap move right in the heading, so you can see at a glance how the mark has just changed. A horse raised five pounds to 98 reads 'Horse history (FLT: +5 to 98)', settling back to the plain mark once that week's revision has been run off.

Professional members can now group and band their ProStats systems by RTR Score, the same way you already can by Official Rating. It is another angle on exactly where a system's edge sits.

Suggest an idea to the team

There is a new Suggest an Idea feature on the site: tell us what you would like RatingTheRaces to do next and it comes straight to the team. We read every one, and the strong ideas get built, sometimes remarkably fast. Two features members asked for last week were live the very same afternoon they were suggested. And when we reply, the response comes back to you in the app, with a notification and your original suggestion alongside it. If there is something that would make your day easier, we would love to hear it.

Customising your ratings view just got more flexible. As well as showing and hiding columns, Premium and Professional members can now drag them into whatever order you like from the Select Columns panel, so the numbers you rely on most sit exactly where you want them on every race card.

The dashboard is now organised into tabs

Your members dashboard has been reorganised into five tabs across the top: Competition, My Stats, ProStats, Today Stats and Trading. Everything that used to be stacked down one long page now lives behind a tab, so you land on what you want straight away and the page stays quick. Logged-out visitors keep the familiar overview.

Last Winning Mark now on the race card

Professional members have a new column on the ratings, immediately to the right of Official Rating: the mark a horse last won a handicap off. Set against its current OR, it shows at a glance whether a horse is now racing above, below or right around the mark it last proved itself on, with the detail of that winning run on hover. It stays hidden on races where no runner has a winning mark, such as two-year-old and maiden events.

More ways to work with the ratings in ProStats

ProStats has had a round of improvements for Professional members. You can now build and group your systems around Official Ratings, choose how starting prices are shown, and hover any stat heading for a plain-language explanation of what it means. The top bar has been tidied up as well.

Official Rating now a column on your ratings

Professional members now see the horse's Official Rating (OR), the handicapper's own mark, as a column on the ratings grid. It sits alongside our numbers on every card, so you can weigh our view against the handicapper's at a glance.

Last Winning Mark card on the dashboard

Professional members have a new Last Winning Mark card on the dashboard, built on our new Official Rating history. It surfaces today's and tomorrow's handicap runners in relation to the mark they last won off, and the mark they last won off at today's course, so you can spot a horse dropped back to a winning mark or one being asked to defy a career high. Codes never cross: Flat, All-Weather, Hurdle and Chase marks are always compared like for like.

Irish races now carry a class

Irish races now show a UK-equivalent class instead of sitting in 'No Class'. Ireland has no official class system, so we grade every Irish race from its pattern status, conditions, rating band or prize money, converting Irish prize money to pounds properly along the way. We have backfilled more than 33,000 past races, and you can opt each saved ProStats system in to the new classes, so nothing you have already built changes without you choosing it.

Today's Qualifiers for your ProStats systems

Professional members can now see, right on the dashboard, which of today's and tomorrow's runners qualify for each of your saved ProStats systems, with each system's profit and loss, ROI and longest losing run beside it. Three emails a day keep you posted too: an 8am briefing, an 11am update as the field firms up, and an end-of-day summary of what qualified and what did not.

One Runner Stats on the dashboard

Professional members have a new One Runner Stats section at the foot of the dashboard: every trainer with a single runner, and every jockey with a single ride, today or tomorrow, alongside their record over the last five years for the days when that was all they had. Filter by minimum runs and add course, trainer or jockey splits to find the yard or rider saving their one bullet for a reason.

Last Year's Winner, now on the race card

Premium and Pro members now see a Last Year's Winner block on races we have a match for: the horse that won the same race twelve months ago, with its price, connections and our RTR Rank that day, linked through to the full race in our history. Turn on the highlight option in the settings menu and any of today's runners, trainers, jockeys or sires featured in last year's winner result are shaded gold on the card. It is in beta while coverage grows.
