Tip: double-click or double-tap any word to read from thereProStats has two sets of filters. Data Filters decide which runs go into your stats; Table Filters narrow the results you get back. Here's every one and what it means.
ProStats has two panels of filters that do different jobs. Get the difference clear and the whole tool opens up.
- Data Filters (left panel) decide which runs go into the calculation, only count runs that match, for example Class 2 handicaps, drawn low, over 7f+.
- Table Filters (middle panel) narrow the results rows you get back, by their own totals, for example only show groups with 30+ runs and a positive ROI.
(A third control, Group by, decides how the results are grouped, group by RTR Score is one example.)
Data Filters
The race

| Distance (fur) | The race distance, in furlongs |
| Race Type | Flat, All-Weather, Hurdle, Chase or National Hunt Flat (bumper) |
| Going | The official going |
| Surface | Turf or All-Weather |
| Handicap | Handicaps only, or non-handicaps only |
| Class | Race class 1 to 7 (or No Class) |
| Class +/- | Whether the horse has risen or dropped in class since its last run (-1 = down a class, +1 = up), as on the ratings |
| Irish Classes | Include our own derived class for Irish races, which carry no official class |
| Age Range | The age band the race is open to (2yo, 3yo, 3yo+ and so on) |
| Field Size | The number of runners in the race |
| Max Runs in Field | The career runs of the most experienced horse in the race, to find races full of newcomers, or of hardened types |

The horse and connections

| Sex | The sex of the horse (colt, filly, gelding, mare and so on) |
| Age | The horse's age |
| Days Off | Days since the horse last ran |
| Career Runs | How many times the horse had run before (0 means a newcomer) |
| OR | The official rating the horse ran off |
RTR ratings and ranks
Every "Rank" here is the horse's position within its own race, where 1 is top.

| R1 Rank | Its rank by most recent run score, see What is the R1 Rank? |
| AV3 Rank / AV10 Rank | Its rank by the average of its last 3 / last 10 run scores, see AV3, AV10 and their ranks |
| AV3 Min Runs / AV10 Min Runs | Only count horses with at least this many prior runs, so the average means something |
| AV3 / AV10 Min Runs (every runner) | Only count races where every runner has that many prior runs, so the whole field is comparable |
| Newcomer RTR Rank | Its rank among only the newcomers in the race |
| Value % | The Value %, the market price against our fair odds |
| Value % Rank | Its rank in the race by Value % |
| Combined AE | The combined A/E from the stats columns |
| A/E Rank | Its rank in the race by combined A/E |
Prices and draw

| Exchange SP | The exchange starting price (XSP) |
| XSP Rank | Its rank in the race by exchange SP (shortest = 1) |
| Place SP | The exchange place starting price |
| Place Rank | Its rank in the race by place SP |
| Draw | The stall draw |
Table Filters
These sift the results by each group's own figures. The most useful is Runs, set a minimum to throw out tiny, unreliable samples before you read anything else.

| IV | Impact Value, how the group's win rate compares with the rest of your current selection (1.00 is par) |
| A/E | Actual over Expected, winners against what the market expected (over 1 beats the market) |
| XSP P&L | Profit or loss to a level stake at exchange SP |
| XSP ROI (%) | Return on investment at exchange SP |
| ISP P&L | Profit or loss at industry SP |
| ISP ROI (%) | Return on investment at industry SP |
