Today's Qualifiers: your ProStats systems, tracked all day

Conceptprofessionalnew

Today's Qualifiers brings your saved ProStats systems onto the dashboard: today's and tomorrow's qualifiers for each one, its performance at a glance, and three emails a day that track every horse moving in and out.

You've built systems in ProStats. Today's Qualifiers puts them to work for you every day, on your dashboard and in your inbox, so you never miss a qualifier and always know how each system is doing. It's a Professional feature.

The dashboard card

At the top of your dashboard, the Today's Qualifiers card lists every ProStats system you've saved, with:

  • Today and Tomorrow: how many of today's and tomorrow's runners qualify for that system right now. Click a number to see the horses, with links straight to their racecards and a Download CSV of the list.
  • P/L, ROI, SR and LLR: each system's profit and loss, return on investment, strike rate and longest losing run, from our overnight build.
  • Since saved: the same four figures counting only from the day you saved the system, so you can see how it's performed since you actually started following it, not just across all history.

Click a system's name to open it in ProStats with that filter applied. The columns sort, so you can bring your best performers, or your busiest days, to the top.

Three emails a day

If you'd like it delivered, we track your systems through the day and email you three times (you can switch this off, see below):

  • Morning (8am), "today's qualifiers": every system with the number of runners that qualify this morning, and a button through to your dashboard to see them.
  • Late morning (11am), "the update": what's changed since 8am, per system. Horses that have moved out of a system, and horses that have moved in, so you can spot a runner that now fits a system and might be worth backing.
  • Evening (11pm), "end of day update": the picture at the off, per system. Which of the day's named horses actually qualified when the race went, and which no longer did.

Why the day's picture changes, and why your numbers may differ

A horse can qualify for a system in the morning and not by the off, for good reasons:

  • Non-runners. If your system needs a minimum number of runners, withdrawals through the day can take the race below it.
  • The price moved. If your system has a minimum price, a horse that shortens can drop below it; if it has a maximum price, a drifter can go above it.

This matters because ProStats records a system's history at the off, using the exchange Starting Price, so the system's numbers and your own can differ if you backed a horse earlier in the day. If you took 5/1 at 12:30 because a horse qualified then, but it was 3/1 at the off and your system caps the price lower, that runner won't count towards the system's record even though you're on it. The evening email spells out exactly which horses qualified at the off and which didn't, so the difference is never a mystery.

Turning the emails on or off

All three emails are controlled by a single Qualifiers emails switch in your email preferences. Turn it off and the dashboard card stays exactly where it is.
