One Runner Stats explained

Conceptprofessionalnew

One Runner Stats picks out the trainers and jockeys with just one runner today or tomorrow, and shows their record over the last five years on the days they had a single runner.

There's an old saying that when a small yard sends one horse a long way, it's often worth a second look. One Runner Stats is the dashboard section that puts a number on it. It's a Professional feature, at the bottom of your dashboard.

One Runner Stats on the dashboard: trainers with a single runner today, their booked jockey, RTR Rank, record and P&L

What it shows

Every trainer with a single runner (and, on the other tab, every jockey with a single ride) today or tomorrow, alongside their record over the last five years on the occasions when that was all they had. The P&L figures are to £1 level stakes at Betfair SP.

The idea is simple: a stable's whole plan for the day riding on one horse, or a jockey travelling for a single booking, is a signal the raw ratings don't capture. This section surfaces those runners and tells you whether that pattern has paid before.

Getting the view you want

  • Trainers / Jockeys tabs switch between the two angles, and Today / Tomorrow switches the day.
  • Only runner of the day counts a trainer's one and only runner anywhere that day. Only runner at the meeting counts their only runner at that particular track, whatever they have elsewhere.
  • Min runs (All, 5+, 10+, 25+) hides records built on too few past runs, so you're not reading into a 1-from-2. It defaults to 5+.
  • The Trainer / Course / Jockey checkboxes narrow the record. You're always looking at the trainer; tick Course to see their record with a single runner at this track, or Jockey to see it with today's booked rider, or both. The "Showing:" line tells you which split you're reading.

Reading the table

Each row gives the trainer, the runner (with silks), the race, today's RTR Rank, their Record (wins-runs and strike rate for the chosen split) and the P&L. Sort by Record or P&L to bring the strongest angles to the top.
