Earlier this month we posted an Ante-Post selection in the Premium Members Forum for the RSA Chase in the name of No More Heroes @ 12/1. Since then he has made his chase debut over 2m4f and won impressively and his trainer has suggested his next run will be in the Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse.

This should be a good race for No More Heroes and it looks like a race that Gigginstown target having won the race for 3 of the last 4 years with Bog Warrior, Don Cossack and Valseur Lido. Both the last 2 winners have since won Grade 1 races over 3m+ and No More Heroes could well follow in their footsteps.

No More Heroes was somewhat unlucky last year in the Albert Bartlett Hurdle when finishing 3rd as he was badly hampered coming into the last and lost all momentum however we think he can make amends this year in the RSA Chase.

No More Heroes is out of Presenting and they are statistically better over fences with a 9.55% strike rate over hurdles compared to a 13.1% strike rate over fences. Bryan Cooper also a similar positive stat increase from a hurdles strike rate of 12.20% to a chase strike rate of 16.85%. Gordon Elliott also has a positive stat increase from hurdles to chases. His hurdle strike rate is 15.40% and his chase strike rate is 17.45%. Even horses that Gigginstown generally purchase are better when they are sent chasing with a hurdle strike rate of 13.4% compared to a chase strike rate of 16.05%.

With all this taken into account and the fact that he has shown he can jump fences with an easy victory in a beginners chase he looks a good bet even at his revised 8/1 price. If he makes it to the festival we think he will be 3/1 or shorter.
