My horse to follow this year could be ‘over’ in just a few days when he runs in the Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown. However I think he’ll win comfortably and even go off favourite for the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham. National Hunt Season 2020/2021 Quick-Fire Thoughts from Liam – 3rd November 2020

This week I highlight a potential horse for a County Hurdle and a Pertemps Final as well a horse I am really keen on if she runs at Kempton on the 27th December. There’s also 2 horses both owned and trained by the same owner and trainer that were dropped in the handicap at the weekend that I feel will be better next time!

Avenir D’Une Vie ran in 6 NHF races between November 2015 and April 2016 winning twice and finishing 2nd once. He was thought good enough to contest both the Cheltenham Champion Bumper where he finished 7 lengths 12th and finished 5th in Irish Champion Bumper at Punchestown. At Cheltenham he turned into the straight travelling ominously well but found very little and this could have been down to the ground. Lavirco progeny have just a 7% strike rate on good going which he encountered at Cheltenham compared to a 14% strike rate on soft going and an even better 28% strike rate on heavy.
