Adding a horse to your NagMe is a great way to remind you when a horse is due to run next. Was it eyecatching, a sure fire winner next time, hugely unlucky or just one that you want to keep an eye on? Add it to your RTR NagMe (Free to use) and get an email notification when it’s next due to run! FREE NAGME TOOL

None of the obvious Marine Nationale, Facile Vega, Impaire Et Passe, Gerri Colombe….for me these are a bit pointless in these blogs as everyone is aware […]

Cheltenham Festival 2023 – Liam’s Selections

I think the 2021 Festival has thrown up many winner who will win again and as boring as they are, I think come the festival barring not making it they will be shorter and most likely winners.

Supreme Novices Hurdle

Arkle Chase

Constitution Hill @ 5/1

Constitution Hill was very impressive in the Supreme Novices Hurdle as was Altior & Shishkin for different reasons when they won the Supreme. Both went over fences the following season winning the Arkle. I think Constitution Hill does the same. Blue Bresil progeny have an 11.72% strike rate over hurdles […]

2 Each Way Potentials for the Cheltenham Festival Handicaps

With the handicap marks out yesterday for the Cheltenham Handicaps, could these be great Cheltenham handicaps each way potentials – let us know what you think!

Each Way Potential 1: Eamon An Cnoic @ 33/1 NRNB

Eamon An Cnoic is available at 33/1 NRNB with a few different bookmakers at the moment and on a strict Cheltenham formline with Spiritofthegames this is a crazy price. Sent off for this race last year at just 10/1 he ran a cracker to finish 4th behind 3 horses who all came into the race with big chances. RatingTheRaces TOP […]

Cheltenham Festival 2019 Top 5 and In Running Lows

Horses that run well at one Cheltenham Festival generally run well at subsequent Cheltenham Festivals either due to the way the races are run or because connections target a return and here we look at those who finished in the Top 5 of each race of the Cheltenham Festival 2019, the in-running low and where they are now and what the targets could be this season.

Supreme Novices Hurdle

Klassical Dream  – subsequently won at Punchestown in April. Has since been beaten at Punchestown and at Leopardstown.

14/1 for Champion Hurdle & 33/1 for Arkle

Early Season Eyecatchers!

2017-07-15T11:59:46+01:00December 21st, 2016|

I decided that I wouldn’t include winners in this list otherwise the likes of Altior (Nicky Henderson), Buveur D’Air (Nicky Henderson), Frodon (Paul Nicholls) and Cap Soleil (Fergal O’Brien) would have made the list. I strongly recommend looking out for the last named Mare as I thought she was an incredibly impressive TOP RATED winner on debut!

I therefore have looked for horses that have been beaten and hopefully highlighted some that you have either forgotten about or didn’t see yourself. One For Arthur – 5th in the Becher Chase @ Aintree One For Arthur ran a career best when 5th in the […]

Cheltenham Festival Part IV – Championship Chases

2017-07-15T12:00:13+01:00February 12th, 2016|

In this part we have looked at the Championship Chase races of the Queen Mother Champion Chase, The Ryanair Chase and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Champion Chase

Un De Sceaux is a short priced odds on favourite and probably wins this race if he gets round however 2 falls on CV are the concern.

Un De Sceaux won the Arkle Chase last year at the Cheltenham Festival and ended his season winning the Ryanair Chase at Punchestown over 2 miles. He returned this season with the Champion Chase in mind and ran in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown but ran a bit keenly and fell at the 2nd last. Many […]

Cheltenham Festival Preview Part I – Novice Hurdles

2017-07-15T12:00:17+01:00February 5th, 2016|

With just over a month to go, it’s time we went through the feature races in depth analysing which horses are probably going to have a say in the finishes of these races. In the first part we are going to look at the Novice Hurdles at the Cheltenham Festival.

Supreme Novices Hurdle

The Supreme Novices Hurdle currently has a short priced favourite in Min for Willie Mullins and Mr Rich Ricci. Having won this race for the last 3 years with Champagne Fever, Vautour and Douvan anything that proved to be their number 1 for this race was going to be a short priced however his form has looked very strong.

Coming […]
