Saturday & Sunday Chepstow – RTR Stat of the Day!

2017-12-08T12:09:17+00:00October 10th, 2017|

Chepstow racing on both Saturday and Sunday!

This system of backing TOP RATED in races at Chepstow in October couldn’t be simpler!

Backing TOP RATED blind at Chepstow in the Month of October since our ratings began would have seen you have 20 winners from 54 runners at a strike rate of 37.04% with an impressive P/L of 51.24 points!

Backing these selections for just £20 a point would have seen a profit of over £1000!

Once again the graph is steadily climbing and hopefully we can add to this over the weekend! How Can I Sign Up? Easy and it takes just a few minutes. After this you […]

How could you be over 90 points in profit in September?

2017-12-08T12:09:35+00:00September 26th, 2017|

Very simple! Using our ratings and one very easy filter!

It is always interesting to see members of ours make profit and how they go about it. There are various methods out there some focusing on types or races, some focusing on distances, some using our ratings to filter out their own statistically weak selections. But it can be much simpler than that.

With the simple filter of RatingTheRaces Top Rated (RTR1) and price >= 10.0 XSP (exchange starting price.) So far this month it has produced 92.49 points profit to level stakes. I know there are a fair few members out there following this system. It’s great they are having […]

What will give you the edge at Royal Ascot?

2017-07-15T11:59:18+01:00June 19th, 2017|

Our Ratings! Shameful plug, we know, but read on, it will be well worth it! Our Ratings have a great record at Ascot, with a 39.09% ROI to Exchange Starting Prices! Check out the Graph! We are confident they can help you at Royal Ascot this week! Obviously Ascot has National Hunt Racing as well as flat racing, so let’s filter it by type. So now we have Top Rated at Ascot by Type! In flat racing we therefore have made over 150 points profit backing TOP RATED blind to BFSP with a very tidy 46.28% ROI! But what about the going?! The forecast […]

National Hunt Horses To Follow 2017-2018 Season!

2017-07-15T11:59:22+01:00May 21st, 2017|

Here are our NATIONAL HUNT HORSES TO FOLLOW for the 2017-2018 season Although the National Hunt Season has drawn to a close, National Hunt racing doesn’t really stop and there are some good prizes over jumps during the summer, although I’m not sure if any of these will be aiming for such prizes. Hopefully we have highlighted horses in this blog post that will be well worth following next season in some of the feature handicaps. Charli Parcs Trained by Nicky Henderson and Owned by Mr J P McManus Charli Parcs is a great starting point as he will split opinions. After winning a Juvenile Hurdle in France he […]

Grand National – A great result for RatingTheRaces!

2017-07-15T11:59:31+01:00April 20th, 2017|

One For Arthur was highlighted at 33/1 – Did you get on? We at RatingTheRaces highlighted One For Arthur as a National type back in December! Earlier this month, One For Arthur won the Grand National and was sent off at 14/1. Given a very patient ride by Derek Fox he moved up from 25th (with 1 circuit to go) to 12th (at the 3rd last) to 2nd (at the 2nd last) before finishing powerfully to win by just over 4 lengths.

This was a great achievement and one that we at RatingTheRaces were delighted with!

Back in December we posted our Eyecatchers from the previous couple of months of racing and […]

Early Season Eyecatchers!

2017-07-15T11:59:46+01:00December 21st, 2016|

I decided that I wouldn’t include winners in this list otherwise the likes of Altior (Nicky Henderson), Buveur D’Air (Nicky Henderson), Frodon (Paul Nicholls) and Cap Soleil (Fergal O’Brien) would have made the list. I strongly recommend looking out for the last named Mare as I thought she was an incredibly impressive TOP RATED winner on debut!

I therefore have looked for horses that have been beaten and hopefully highlighted some that you have either forgotten about or didn’t see yourself. One For Arthur – 5th in the Becher Chase @ Aintree One For Arthur ran a career best when 5th in the […]

How to go from a complete novice to professional bettor in just over a year!

2017-07-15T11:59:47+01:00November 30th, 2016|

The RatingTheRaces NAP Competition is now over a year old and we decided to contact and interview the All-Time Leader Charles Crayford to find out his secrets, methods and how he is using the ratings to help be a successful bettor.

Charles came across very well and had a lot of enthusiasm for the ratings and said: “I love your website and ratings!” £4556.77 Without giving away all your secrets and methods, can you give us one pointer that you look for when picking out your selections and why you think this is important? “For me, the first thing I look for is value. If I can get […]

Dan Skelton Analysis – RatingTheRaces Race Placement Service

2017-07-15T11:59:51+01:00October 24th, 2016|

We asked Aaron the lead Horse Racing Data Analyst at RatingTheRaces what he thought of objective data for race placement:

“Horse racing is one of those sports with a lot of variables contributing the outcome of a race, so many variables that many people overlook the use of statistics and objective data analysis to help them with their decision making. We (ratingtheraces) can clearly and objectively see the trainers and owners who are making best placement decisions and unsurprising to us, those seem to align with who is taking the most prize money home with them at the end of the day. I think the example given here is […]

How Trainers and Owners could and should be using our Ratings

2017-07-15T11:59:52+01:00October 19th, 2016|

As well as punters and professional gamblers using our ratings, we suggest that Trainers and Owners should also be using our ratings. We are in the position to be able to provide 5 day declarations to owners and trainers in ratings format.

This means Trainers and Owners can find out where their horses are rated and if they are multiple entered they can assess to find the race that is the weakest or suits them the most.

Today we have had a look at the Cheltenham card on Friday and Saturday and also the Aintree card for Sunday.

We shall start off with one of our National Hunt Horses to […]

National Hunt Horses to Follow – 2016/2017

2017-07-15T11:59:54+01:00October 18th, 2016|

Avenir D’Une Vie
Avenir D’Une Vie ran in 6 NHF races between November 2015 and April 2016 winning twice and finishing 2nd once. He was thought good enough to contest both the Cheltenham Champion Bumper where he finished 7 lengths 12th and finished 5th in Irish Champion Bumper at Punchestown. At Cheltenham he turned into the straight travelling ominously well but found very little and this could have been down to the ground. Lavirco progeny have just a 7% strike rate on good going which he encountered at Cheltenham compared to a 14% strike rate on soft going and an even better 28% strike rate on heavy. Lavirco progeny also generally […]
