How good is James Doyle?

James Doyle has started the 2018 season in great style and has already won the Easter Classic at Lingfield and the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster. Both were for William Haggas and both were TOP RATED on our ratings (incidentally both also led home a straight forecast for the ratings!)

James Doyle is rightly receiving all the plaudits and his stats are very impressive especially when riding TOP RATED on our ratings (All these stats can be found using the ProStats tool)

James has a very promising 36.57% strike rate when riding TOP RATED however this doesn’t mean a lot as they could all be short priced favourites.

The 2 very interesting columns here are that backing James ridden TOP RATED horses blindly to XSP* is +92.43 points with a Return of Investment (ROI) of 17.61%. This shows it wasn’t just one big winner and it’s a system you could employ that would based on these results generate plenty of winners and continue to make profits.

*(We use Exchange Starting Price (XSP) as this is a price EVERYONE can achieve – there is nothing worse than seeing results based on prices that were available for 2 minutes at a bookmaker that restricts bets after a few wins!)

Despite being retained by Godolphin, James has struck up a great relationship with William, with wife Maureen explaining they will want to use him anytime he is available and free to ride.

Which courses?

I decided to have a look at which courses James is profitable on TOP RATED and it’s very encouraging to see the likes of Chester, Haydock, Windsor, Sandown and both Newmarket courses featuring prominently. He’s both very good on TOP RATED here (high strike rates) but also profitable which is the most important thing when it comes to betting!

He’s clearly a jockey to watch out for when riding TOP RATED and you shouldn’t be afraid of the shorter priced selections (in fact he’s the 2nd most profitable jockey on the flat on TOP RATED favourites – only behind Joe Fanning!)

Hopefully this gives you an insight into how the ProStats can be easily used to find profitable angles and also that you really shouldn’t discount any TOP RATED horse that James rides this season!
