Liam’s Horses To Follow – National Hunt 20/21 Season

Nicky Henderson

Shishkin is arguably the most boring horse in this list as it’s not like people didn’t see him win the Supreme Novices Hurdle. At the beginning of last season, I highlighted Shishkin in my Horses To Follow and highlighted the Supreme Novices Hurdle as the target. Honestly though my confidence waned during the season not in his ability but I was convinced Nicky Henderson was campaigning him with the Neptune Novices Hurdle as the target. The step up in trip and finishing strongly at Huntingdon still suggested to me that he will be in the intermediate […]

Horses To Follow – Flat Season 2020

Horses To Follow – Flat Season 2020!

Hopefully I can highlight some great winners this season when racing returns and I am confident there are some nice types in these that should win races for us.

Raymond Tusk– trained by Richard Hannon

Raymond Tusk is currently 50/1 for the Ebor and I think this is a ridiculous price, not only because he ran a very unlucky 4th in the race last year but his owners have already said that returning to this race is something they are very keen on. Who wouldn’t though, with the prize money for the Ebor being massive! I will be watching his preparation […]

Cheltenham Festival 2020 – Thursday Review

In this video, Liam has a look at Day 3 of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival. He’s a big fan of one from the Brown Advisory Chase at the Festival. Nothing went right for him and he still ran a great race. Surely the Pertemps Final 2021 is the target for the ‘interestingly’ ridden horse in this year’s race. This was recorded before racing in Ireland was abandoned due to the Coronavirus

Cheltenham Festival 2020 – Wednesday Review

In this video, Liam has a look at Day 2 of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival. From the Wednesday he feels there is the next Kauto Star/Denman as well as a horse I really like for the Coral Cup next season especially if his whole campaign is geared around this race.  I didn’t mention him in the video but don’t give up on Champagne Well either in handicaps!

Was it finishing fast? Didn’t get a clear run? Wanted a faster pace? Add it to your RatingTheRaces NagMe and be alerted for when it runs next time.

Adding a selection.

Remember to include your reason why you wanted to add it. Sometimes horses do not run for 2, 3, 4 months […]

Cheltenham Festival 2020 – Tuesday Review

Here is Liam’s Cheltenham Festival 2020 – Tuesday review. Listen out for the horses that he highlights he feels will be worth following next season. These include a Champion Hurdle horse, a potential Ryanair horse and which horse he thinks should be dropped back in trip next time. Some of this was recorded BEFORE Irish Racing was also abandoned due to the Coronavirus.

Irish Grand National 2020 – Selections from Liam

The Irish Grand National is scheduled to be run on Monday 13th April 2020. Hopefully I can find the winner this year again and I think I’ve already highlighted them recently!

There were plenty of British raiders entered but under the current Coronavirus rules, none of these would be able to take part.

Fitzhenry – trained by Paul Nolan

Fitzhenry finished 6th in the Kim Muir Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival under what I thought was a very patient ride by Patrick Mullins. I actually thought he gave him far too much to […]

Liam’s Horses To Follow – Day 4 of Cheltenham Festival 2020

Liam was tasked with finding just 1 horse to take out of each race from the Cheltenham Festival. Check out his Horses To Follow from Day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival below. He’ll be looking at them in more depth in upcoming blogs.

Triumph Hurdle – Goshen

Goshen would have been one of the most impressive winners of a Triumph Hurdle in what looked a quality Triumph Hurdle, that really needs to be taken into account.

In my opinion, Jamie was right to ask him up at the last as he was on good stride and had the horse’s feet […]

Marsh Novices Chase – Saint Sonnet

Saint Sonnet – travelled well in against some good rivals when lacking in experience. He had only made his British debut 16 days ago and is only a 5 year old and arguably will have more improvement to come. He looked to be finding things a bit tough and […]
