The 4 main areas to choose the Best Horse Racing Ratings service!

Seems like a strange or biased article for a Ratings service provider to publish right? But once upon a time we were ratings service customers, rather than a ratings provider. Our experiences completely shaped the way we run the RatingTheRaces service today. Below is a short list of things that frustrated us when we were customers of Ratings services and are rules, we subsequently hold ourselves to.

Seems obvious right? But so many services have a TopRated, a Top Speed Rated, a Top Course Rated, a white flag, […]

3 Out Of 4 Grand National’s predicted by a Statistical Algorithm!

Not just any old algorithm, it was the RatingTheRaces ratings algorithm!!!

So how on earth does an algorithm, achieve this? Well, as many of you know statistics can be used to predict a lot of things, and in horse racing we can generate A LOT of statistics. Fun fact – did you know the human brain can only consider a maximum of 4 parameters. I know. Stunned. Me too. We all feel smarter than that, but apparently, we simply are not. However, whilst an algorithm does have limitations in terms of numbers of parameters, it is far, far greater […]

We are confident they can help you at Royal Ascot this week! Obviously Ascot has National Hunt Racing as well as flat racing, so let’s filter it by type. So now we have Top Rated at Ascot by Type! How to go from a complete novice to professional bettor in just over a year!

2017-07-15T11:59:47+01:00November 30th, 2016|

The RatingTheRaces NAP Competition is now over a year old and we decided to contact and interview the All-Time Leader Charles Crayford to find out his secrets, methods and how he is using the ratings to help be a successful bettor.

Charles came across very well and had a lot of enthusiasm for the ratings and said: “I love your website and ratings!” £4556.77 Without giving away all your secrets and methods, can you give us one pointer that you look for when picking out your selections and why you think this is important? “For me, the first thing I look for is value. If I can get […]

What is the A/E statistic?

2017-07-15T11:59:49+01:00November 11th, 2016|

Anyone who has used or even looked at our Dynamic WebRatings will know that we love data and statistics and in this blog post we are going to discuss the A/E Statistic. If we were looking at just one statistic we can present an additional 5 statistics associated with that statistic. Yep we love it.

Paul Nicholls 1

So let’s get back to it, what is the A/E statistic? How is it calculated? And what does it tell us?

A/E stands for Actual over Expected.

Now anyone from a statistics background will be familiar with the term Expected but not quite in the […]

RatingTheRaces FREE RATINGS Sharing

2017-07-15T12:02:08+01:00March 6th, 2013|

Hello All,

You will have noticed that RatingTheRaces has implemented the use of a share function for free members to access the RatingTheRaces ratings.

First of all I would like to tell you why this has been implemented. You will notice that this function was brought in at the same time as the release of the highly regarded RatingTheRaces ratings version 3.0, the reason for this was two fold.

1. When distributing free content we have found multiple other tipsters using the spreadsheets to aid in their selections, we do not mind such services doing so, they are FREE on these days to everyone, however we feel by sharing our message such tipsters […]

Racing Review – Saturday 23rd February 2013

2017-07-15T12:02:15+01:00February 27th, 2013|

A great day of racing at Kempton was the main focus to everyone’s attention with Newcastle having been abandoned due to snow on the track. The Racing Plus Chase is widely regarded as Grand National Trial and a few running in the race were being aimed at the Grand National. The faster going and tightness of the track however certainly caught a few out.

Rewards4Racing Handicap Chase

This looked a very tricky race to work out and the race panned out like this with many travelling into contention before dropping away. Midnight Sail for Alan King was eventual winner who took […]

Racing Review – Saturday 16th February 2013

2017-07-15T12:02:19+01:00February 19th, 2013|

With plenty of potential Cheltenham, Aintree and possibly even Punchestown trials at the weekend, here is our review of the races including our eyecatchers and horses to note. Read on to find out who we think may have been laid out for a return to the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Our TOP TIPS had a good week at Ascot with 4 winners from 7 races and a tidy 9.45 points profit were achieved. All 3 of our losing TOP TIPS have gone into our notebook as they should all go close when they run over more suitable distances.
