Liam’s Weekly Thoughts
This would be one hell of a long term plan!
Liam looks back over the weekend and highlights a horse who finished 6th that is surely off to Sandown next time in January as well as suggests an ambitious plan for a horse who would surely be better suited in a handicap with the County Hurdle being a real option.
Surely they wont make the same mistake again?
Liam looks at some of those that have been dropped in the handicap this week and thinks he has found a few that can go well soon including one who he hopes isn’t campaigned poorly like his stablemate last year and one that he feels could be back in handicap company soon over fences.
I’m a strong believer of taking advantage of handicap marks on the way to Graded races
I analyse the entries for 5 horses this weekend and talk about why I would run them in a race over their other entries. I do believe trainers should be picking up handicaps before running in Graded races. If you genuinely believe they are Graded class and happy to take on much higher rated horses why would you not win a handicap before hand and then take them on later with more experience under his/her belt.
My analysis for Newbury & the weekend racing!
I have looked at tomorrow’s card at Newbury and found my selections. I think the 1:50 needs serious attention as think 3, 4 or even 5 can go on to be higher rated come the end of the season. I have also highlighted 3 for Saturday including 1 in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle and 1 in the Ladbroke Trophy at Newbury.
