The handicap could be back on!

Just 5lb doesn’t look like it’s too much!

Liam looks at the handicap changes this weeks and highlights horses he feels have been dropped to good marks as well as one for a Veterans Handicap Chase at Newbury, one for the Imperial Cup and one that he thinks should be saved for an Aintree handicap. He also looks at his 16/1 selection for the Ultima who was only given a 5lb rise. Liam thought he would get 8lb+.

Last year this blog highlighted Fakir D’Oudaries who finished 2nd in the Ryanair at a whopping 50/1 as well as some other great runs.

Horses that run well at one Cheltenham Festival generally run well at subsequent Cheltenham Festivals either due to the way the races are run or because connections target a return and here we look at those who finished in the Top 5 of each race of the Cheltenham Festival 2021, the in-running low and where they are now and what the targets could be this season.
