How do I change my email address?
Your email address is where your receipts, NagMe alerts and account emails all go, and you can sign in with it too. Here's how to change it and what to check afterwards.
Your email address does two jobs on RatingTheRaces: it's one of the ways you log in, and it's where everything we send you lands, receipts, NagMe runner alerts, NAP Competition updates and account notices. If you've switched to a new inbox, it's worth updating so nothing goes astray.
Change your email
- Sign in and open your account settings from the menu in the top right of any page.
- Find the email address field, enter your new address and save.
- If we send a confirmation link to the new address, open it to verify the change. Check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
Once the new address is confirmed, use it (or your username) next time you sign in.
After you've changed it
- Whitelist our sending address at the new inbox so alerts aren't filtered. This is the single most common reason emails stop arriving, see I'm not receiving my NagMe emails.
- Check your other preferences are still how you want them on your email and notification settings.
