What are the NAP Competition rules?
A quick guide to the rules that keep the free NAP Competition fair: how often you need to play to win, and sharing your selections publicly on X.
The NAP Competition is free to enter and open to everyone, but to keep it fair and to be eligible for prizes there are a few simple rules to follow.
Minimum entries to win
To be eligible for a cash prize you need to take part regularly across the period:
- Weekly prize: you must play at least 4 times during the week (Sunday to Saturday).
- Monthly prize: you must play at least 15 times during the calendar month.
You are welcome to enter as often or as little as you like for fun, but those are the minimums to qualify for the prizes. For everything that is up for grabs, see Weekly & monthly winners' prizes.
Post your selections publicly on X
To qualify for any prize, your selections must be shared in a public place, and that place is X (formerly Twitter):
- Your NAPs must be posted to X.
- Your X account must be unlocked (public). If your account is locked or private so that other people cannot see your posts, you will not qualify for prizes.
Do not delete your posts
Your selection posts must stay up. If you delete them, you will not qualify. Leave them in place so they can always be checked.
Why these rules exist
It comes down to transparency and fairness. Because real prizes are on the line, every qualifying selection needs to be visible and permanent, posted publicly before the racing. That way there can never be any doubt about who selected what, and it avoids the situation where someone questions a result by saying they never saw a selection posted. Every qualifying NAP is there on X for everyone to see. This rule has been in place for a long time and is simply there to keep the competition honest for everyone.
